About

Adulthood convinces us to focus only on the possibilities; while in fact impossibilities encourage imagination, and give ways to more possibilities! The studio Cardboard Crown represents the power of childhood's possible impossibilities. The story behind most of the illustrations here involves children's exploration through the world around them, and their imagination of how everything can be possible. And if you listen carefully, you will hear the characters say,

"Put on your cardboard crown!".

Everything is possible,

even the impossibilities

Small business powered by big family support

Cardboard Crown is currently a very small family business with only 2 people managing, and all of family members supporting. We believe that everything is possible with big idea and even bigger support from family!

Bonné Saengsuwon (she/her), Founder & Illustrator

1992 Kid / Thai / Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Nottingham, UK

The two activities I enjoyed the most in my childhood were drawing and reading, but when life forced me to choose one over the other I went for the latter and eventually graduated with a Master's degree in English Literature.

A few years ago, I found out that my love for drawing has never disappeared. So guess what? Now I am a children's storyteller through words and pictures (in a less cool term, a picture-book illustrator).

With great support from my boyfriend's family (I am so grateful), I am now launching products with my illustrations and designs in the UK and Thailand, and we hope you love them xx
